National Recovery Month 2026: Supporting Recovery Takes More Than Treatment

  • Recognizing Recovery. Supporting the Professionals Behind It.

Recovery is personal, but it never happens alone.

Every person working toward recovery has a network around them. That network can include treatment professionals, counselors, recovery centers, treatment courts, family members, peer-support organizations, and other community partners.

Recognizing Recovery

Recovery Month is observed each September to promote and support evidence-based treatment and recovery practices, recognize the recovery community, and highlight the dedication of service providers and communities which make recovery possible.

At its heart, Recovery Month is about people. It is an opportunity to recognize the progress of those in recovery, acknowledge the individuals and organizations that provide support, and remind communities that recovery is possible.

Recovery does not look the same for everyone. Each person’s path is different, and the support which helps one person may look very different from what helps someone else.

What remains consistent is the importance of having access to appropriate resources, supportive communities, and organizations committed to helping people move forward.

How DTPM Supports Recovery Initiatives

While DTPM is not a treatment provider nor recovery organization, we provide essential tools for the broader network: the laboratory.

Our role is to provide the equipment, supplies, services, and technical support laboratories need to establish, maintain, and manage their testing operations.

DTPM supports laboratories with:

  • Drug and alcohol testing equipment and instrumentation
  • Preventive maintenance, equipment service, and repair
  • Laboratory consumables and supplies
  • Technical support and troubleshooting
  • Laboratory setup and management support
  • Laboratory Information System (LIS/LIMS) solutions
  • Training and ongoing laboratory support

DTPM also assists laboratories with equipment selection, validation, policies and procedures, laboratory management, and program setup.

Whether a laboratory is establishing a new testing program, expanding its capabilities, or maintaining an established operation, having the right resources and support in place can help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.

Recognizing Recovery. Supporting the Professionals Behind It.

Recovery Month gives us an opportunity to recognize those pursuing recovery and the people, families, professionals, and organizations supporting them.

From our place in the laboratory industry, DTPM is proud to support the organizations and laboratories working behind the scenes.
