Alabama Association of Drug Court Professionals Conference 2021 Recap

Alabama Association of Drug Court Professionals Conference 2021 Recap

DTPM attended the 2021 AADCP Conference held in Muscle Shoals Alabama from February 8th-10th and had a wonderful time meeting old and new customers, autographing footballs, and chatting on the Jay Barker radio show!

“The overall feel of the conference was “community”. The great thing that I saw was that DTPM is a pillar of the success of this particular community. That’s both a privilege and responsibility that we do not take lightly.”

The Jay Barker Radio Show made a stop at the conference to talk to attendees and do some interviews. Take a listen!

Thoughts on the Conference from Attendees:

“I feel like this conference gave us an opportunity to see customers that we haven’t been able to see since the Covid and to be able to keep building and maintaining  that relationship with them. Also, having Jay Barker at the conference I felt like it gave us more opportunity to talk to the Judges which in most cases are the decision makers.”

“Overall I would say this conference was a success.”

“I feel like this conference gave everyone that attended a sense that the world can and is getting back to normal. It felt like Springtime coming out of a long, cold Winter. Everyone was wearing Dress clothes again after a year of Zoom meetings still wearing their pajama bottoms.

“What I noticed most were the smiles on everyone’s faces. We all enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones.“

“Casual relaxed conversations with Drug Court Coordinators, and Judges revealed opportunities to close deals Nate has been working on for years. Speaking of Nate, he was at his best, his presentations were relaxed and on point. You could tell this was his happy place. Nobody went by our booth without stopping to speak with all of us.”

“BJ was awesome representing New Outlook Detox and I feel he is a wonderful representative of someone who was a successful Graduate of Drug Court, and Family Life Center who has now put his past to work helping others. Relationships are where we’re going to make this Department more successful.”
